In 1980, Garry Hapton founded the Brass Monocle, transforming the way Calgarians experienced eyewear. What began as a bold idea quickly became a defining influence on the city’s style.

More than 40 years later, Garry -alongside Carla and Lav, both proud Brass Monocle alumni - continues that legacy at Sight Unseen Optics, a locally independent optical boutique curating uncommon eyewear from around the world.
